Please scroll to the bottom of the page to see some pictures from the event.

On Saturday, June 25th, we played a hickory scramble with ten teams formed from GHSC members and members of Borden Golf Club in celebration of their 100th anniversary at CFB Borden. We had hot, sunny weather, made pleasant by a moderate breeze, and enjoyed a very pleasant day. A highlight was being piped to the first tee by a piper in full uniform with kilt... who then changed quickly into golfing gear and joined us for the round!

Here are the scores, with apologies for not knowing the full names of all participants:

-4 Ken Leedham, Russell Dick, Ron Archer, Robert (Borden Member)

-3 David Burgess, Ken Archer, Ross Mair, Jack Bouchard

-2 Walt Soetens, Bill Stewart, Run Dunn, Tom Drysdale

-1 Bill Vossen, Rick Harper, Gerry Lawrence, Borden Member

-1 Norm Brunton, Norm Moreau, Noi Moreau, Borden Member (Barnes)

Even Very Petry, Gerald Achtymichuk, John Duffy

Even Doug Marshall, Gary Corriveau, Phil Kostandoff, Adrian Buis

Even Dave Blocksidge, Jeff Rogers, Llew Quinn, Borden Member

+1 Jim Palk, Doreen Corry, Peter Gleed, Don Donaghey

+5 Pat Mihm, Wayne Tode, Frank Whelan, Borden Member

After golf a social time was shared and the golf club served up a great meal followed by prize time.
