On Thursday May 28th the GHSC had their first playing event of the season at the popular Innisbrook Golf Club in Barrie, Ont. 51 participants took part (43 men and 8 ladies) and enjoyed a fine round in weather that could not have been better – cool, sunny and bright with a mild breeze. Members and their guests came from considerable distances – from the Niagara Peninsula, London, Sarnia, North Bay and the GTA to name a few.

Following the scramble a trade show took place along with a putting competition (won by Bill Stewart) and a 50/50 draw and a fine buffet dinner. All in all a great day.

Winners of the long drive contest were Noi Moreau (ladies, hole #7) and Vern P (men, hole #16).

Closest to the pin winners were Peter Salter (men, hole #4) and Jane Norrad (ladies, hole #13).
