Garrison G&CC (2019)

Event #4 — Garrison G&CC — Kingston, ON — May 26, 2019

The third annual Hickory Dickory Doc Championship was held on Sunday, May 26th at the Garrison Golf & Curling Club in Kingston, Ontario. Although the course was saturated due to storms rolling through Eastern Ontario over the previous weeks, 15 brave souls ventured out in period garb with their hickory implements for an afternoon of scramble golf.

A rule instituted for this event stated that each group had to choose after the tee shots were executed, one player to play out his/her ball while the others recorded a scramble score. This was in my estimation not a fun format but everyone persevered.

Although Elizabeth Savill and Nick Waterfield were not in attendance at this outing, their presence was felt in the form of a wonderful cheese platter left for snacking purposes. Compliments to the F & B Staff at Garrison for their bar service and perfectly done BBQ’d steaks.

In the last picture below, the winning hickory team of Ken de Kok, Gord Thomas, John MacDonald and Mac Gervan are pictured with the Hickory Dickory Doc Trophy.
