Event #2 — GHSC Spring Trade Fair & Auction — Glen Abbey, Oakville, ON — March 31, 2019

The GHSC’s annual Golf Trade Fair at Glen Abbey was held Sunday March 31st. The overnight snow and ice and the blustery day didn’t seem to hold off the crowds at this popular venue.

More than 20 tables were reserved with items ranging from furniture to clubs to books and much more. If it’s old and relates to golf, you’ll find it here. It was standing room only for most of the day with many golfing artifacts changing hands, sometimes more than once!!

This event allows people to come out of their winter hiding places, renew acquaintances and pick up some new golfing treasures. It’s always a great start to the golf season as evidenced by the many happy faces on the trading floor.

A new feature to the event this year was a draw for door prizes for visitors:

• The first prize of a round of hickory golf for two (hickory clubs provided) was won by Bob Nemeth.
• Runner-up prizes of a box of Wilson golf balls with the GHSC logo were won by Todd Simpson and Earla Quinton.
