HSC News Item: June 28, 2023 – Sawmill Rainout (2023) Reported by: Frank Collis, GHSC Hickory Ambassador

On Monday, June 26, 2023, 4 groups of GHSC players joined to play post-1900 hickory golf at Sawmill Golf Course. Colouful player pictures were taken prior to tee-off but due to rain, the game was cancelled after just a few holes.

Oh well, golf is like that sometimes. Despite the rainout, the players enjoyed each other’s company and some frosty beverages in Sawmill’s comfy clubhouse. 

A special thanks go to Ron Weins, Allan Lew and George Julie for organizing. Another visit to Sawmill is scheduled for July 2023.
