Tyandaga GC (2016)

Event #4 — Hickory Hackers Scramble — Burlington ON — July 21, 2016

On Thursday, July 21 2016, on a very warm day, thirty-five hickory enthusiasts played Tyandaga Golf Club in our midsummer hickory event. Fortunately we had a nice breeze to counteract the 30 plus temperature so there were no casualties, except perhaps the usual numbers of misplayed shots. 

This event was organized by Bill Stewart with help from Doug Marshall, Ian Clarke, Paul Dietz and Ron Dunn who did the scoring summary. We again had some fine scores on the challenging layout. 

The 9 competing teams all scored in a range of 10 shots from 63 to 73. In this case quite remarkable as we were still adjusting the teams right up to their tee off time. Ian Clarke deserves kudos for that feat.

5th with 68 – Dave Burgess, Jim Palk, Norm Moreau, Bill Vossen 

6th with 69 – Gerald Achtymichuk, Jim Parker, Bill Kent, Adrien Buis (scorecard retrogression) 

7th with 69 – Wayne Linton, Tony Matlock, Pete van beurden, Giny Sunstrum 

8th with 70 – Ron Archer, Mike Smart, John Duffy, Don Hull 

9th with 73 – Greg Irvine, Lew Quinn, Paul Winslow 

After golf we enjoyed a social time with a fine buffet meal served at 5:00. Thanks to Chef Toni Burch and all the staff at Tyandaga. We had a great Day !
