News Item: March 23, 2026 – GHSC C&M Show Completed (2026)

This year, our GHSC Collectibles & Memorabilia Show was held on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Don Valley Golf Course near Yonge St. & Highway 401. This event is all about historical golf clubs for play or display,  as well as other golf collectibles and memorabilia. 

Historical clubs are generally pre-1900 and post-1900 era with wooden shafts, and classic steel metal shafts (1935 to 1980). Collectibles and memorabilia cover the same periods but may also include more modern golf-related items. These include golf balls, golf bags,  books, pictures, magazines, sculptures, trophies, flags, games, sweaters and hats, with some items autographed. The terms “antique, vintage and modern” all apply when it comes to this Show. Some of the GTA’s best collectors of golf clubs, collectibles and memorabilia were presenting items for purchase and trade.

In previous years, this event was generally held at Glen Abbey at the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame. Due to the relocation of Golf Canada and the CGHF, it became necessary to select another site, and the City of Toronto has been kind enough to allow us the use of Don Valley’s clubhouse for the last three years. Setup of Show Tables commenced at 9:30 AM, while the Show hours ran from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

The GHSC Golf Collectibles & Memorabilia Show was open to both GHSC Members and the general public for free. No advance registration was required to attend. However, only GHSC Members could register a Show Table in advance, at $20 to a maximum of two tables. Fees were collected at the show.

Morning complimentary coffee was served at the event, while pop, water and pizza were provided for free in the afternoon. Free parking was also provided for all.

Goran Mitrevski from the City of Toronto was also on hand to share info about recent physical changes to Don Valley GC. A 70th anniversary event is tentatively scheduled at Don Valley in October 2026 (see GHSC Upcoming Events).
